Here's a story of a couple of board game enthusiasts on a mission to spend quality time playing more games together as a family.

We discovered our shared love of board games when we first started dating 20 years ago and haven't stopped playing together. In a world where people are becoming increasingly disconnected we find that board games help bring us together and provide a fun shared experience. We've made a goal of playing more games with our kids this year to break away from screens and pass along our love of gameplay.

We challenged ourselves with playing every game we own in 2025. Sky Team is game number 1 of 157.

In Sky Team you work as a team to land a plane. Each round you and the copilot secretly roll 4 dice and place them on game board one at a time.
It’s a coordinated dance of guessing what your teammate can play, a lot of playing it safe, and lots of coffee.

This is our second time to play the game and we didn’t even cheat this time! While the game feels extreme at first (there are lot of ways to crash the plane and die) it is easier once you know what you’re doing.
Next time we plan to increase the difficulty and try flying into a harder airport. .

Free Games! I was able to pick up two new games from the local library system. I love the library and I love this program. Each game we’ve gotten has been well cared for and they are consistently adding new games to their collection. #houston #houstonlibrary #free #iloveboardgames #boardganebunch

This has been a favorite of ours for many years. This is a game where you win by getting a head. We got this game at a wonderful game shop in Boston @eurekapuzzles and have loved playing with friends ever since.

After celebrating our 1 year Insta-versary around the new year, we took a close look at our game collection and realized how much it grew in 2024. We decided a 2025 Board Game Bunch challenge was in order. This year we are going to attempt to play every game we own (including our kids games). We will share our thoughts and a few games may be finding new homes along the way as we start to curate our collection. Happy New Year! Free Games!
